Gosforth Junior High Academy is a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking school community, dedicated to nurturing the potential of every student in Years 5 to 8. Our mission is to provide a high-quality education that inspires academic achievement, personal growth, and confident preparation for the next stage of learning.
We are proud to be a member of Gosforth Group, a family of schools united by a shared commitment to excellence, collaboration, and 'Creating Futures'. This partnership strengthens our ability to deliver an outstanding education and ensures our students benefit from a broad network of support and opportunity.
Yesterday we celebrated our 'Library Legends'. This is when Mrs Creasey selects students who have tried really hard with their reading this term ,and they get a prize and their name on the Library Legends board. These students are exactly what we love to celebrate, those who try their hardest and we can all see their reading journey taking such a positive path. #librarylegends #juniorhighacademy #GosforthJuniorHighAcademy #gosforthgroup #creatingfutures
View PostExploring WWII History in 6A! This week, our Year 6 students stepped back in time to investigate artefacts from the WWII Home Front. They worked like real historians, examining each item, debating what it was, and discovering how it was used during the war. View Post6J love history! We researched, scripted and performed our own BBC radio reports about the Blitz. Some of us chose to report about some real Tyneside bombings including those on Matthew Bank and on Wilkinson's lemonade factory in North Shields. The reports really helped to bring the Blitz to the classroom and showed us what the hard reality of life in those times was like. #gosforthjuniorhighacademy #juniorhighacademy #gosforthgroup #Blitz #HistoryInAction #LearningThroughCreativity #TynesideHistory
