At lunchtime today, voting will take place in the dinner hall. Every student will receive a ballot paper and simply needs to mark an X next to the person they want to represent them. VOTE FOR Lily! Let's get behind our candidate and show them as much support as we can! #YouthCouncil #StudentVoice #SchoolElections #gosforthgroup #GosforthJuniorHighAcademy #creatingfutures

View PostWorld Book Day 2026 – A Truly Special Celebration at Gosforth Junior High Academy As part of this year's World Book Day celebrations, one of our fantastic library monitors, Alexandra, asked to lead an event close to her heart, raising money for the Alzheimer's Society, in memory of her grandad, who she sadly lost at the end of 2025. To honour him, Alexandra organised and ran a second-hand book sale, and it has been a phenomenal success. The response from our school community has been incredible, so much so that students are still bringing in book donations, and the sale will continue until the end of this week! We are incredibly proud of Alexandra for her compassion, leadership and hard work, and grateful to our brilliant library team and every student who has donated books or money to support this meaningful cause. Moments like these show the true power of kindness within our school community. #WorldBookDay2026 #GosforthJuniorHighAcademy #AlzheimersSociety #StudentLeadership #ReadingForGood #SchoolCommunity #GosforthGroup
