#WakeUpWednesday Parental Online Safety Update Adult animated content is increasingly visible on platforms such as YouTube, TikTok and streaming services. While the bright visuals and cartoon style may seem harmless at first glance, many of these shows and clips are created specifically for mature audiences, featuring strong language, sexual references, graphic violence and unsettling themes. This week's guide helps parents and educators understand the risks, from misleading visuals and algorithm-driven recommendations to desensitisation and edgy humour. It also offers practical advice on platform settings, open conversations and building children's critical thinking, so young people can navigate online animation safely and confidently. #OnlineSafety #keepingchildrensafeonline #GosforthGroup #CreatingFutures #gosforthjuniorhighacademy

View PostToday, the faithfuls were dealt a double blow with the murder of both Mrs Brady and Miss McLaughlin. Mrs Brady will sadly find out her fate tomorrow. This week's reading task is all about the students' favourite books! This Wednesday, we are making our tables into book chat groups. We want to hear about which books you love and why. For every book a student tells us about, they can cast a vote for a shield to try and ensure their favourites make it through to the last week! We would love it even more if you would like to bring your favourite book along and show it off. So come along on Wednesday and read for revenge for your fallen faithful! #readingchallenge #gosforthgroup #GosforthJuniorHighAcademy #creatingfutures #studentlife

View PostIt's been a huge week in Traitors! Students researched fiercely to earn shields for their favourite staff... but we also had to say goodbye to three players in this week's banishment: Mrs McDine – Faithful Miss Peacock – Faithful Mrs Bolam – Traitor Well done, students, you caught one! After half term, we return for the penultimate week with a major twist: the traitors' cloak is in the students' hands for one day only! Selected players' photos will be face down in the library, and students must choose who to "murder"... completely in the dark. And the twist? One Traitor will also be selected at random - they might even take out their own! To take part, students just need to tell a library monitor or Mrs Creasey their favourite evil book character and why. Stay sharp... the game is heating up! #ReadingChallenge #LoveOfBooks #gosforthjuniorhighacademy #gosforthgroup #creatingfutures
