The last victims of the Traitors murder spree were revealed this morning as we lost THREE favourite faithfuls, carried out by possibly our most smiley cloaked Traitor Guest Lily. The VI department was hit hard with two of their staff members being murdered together in plain sight. Miss Stephenson's Last Words were "So close yet so far" Mr Murdie's last words were "So far yet so close" They also murdered our beloved IT teacher, Mr Johnson, whose last words were said to be "I told you so" 21 players left...8 Traitors...1 secret Traitor...12 Faithful...it's so close! Celebrating World Book Day Early! Our library has been buzzing this week, with KS3 students packing out the space for our very own Book Buffet! From exploring new genres to trying "a taste" of books they might not usually pick up, it's been wonderful to see so many young readers diving in. There's been loads of excitement too and plenty of votes in our Traitors game as students choose their ultimate Faithful, and a fantastic number of entries for our book competition! Preparation for our Forest School is underway Our Forest School is Underway in our award-winning garden at Gosforth Junior High Academy, with the first official sessions beginning on Thursday. Last half term, a group of our Year 8 and Year 6 students became involved in the "I Am Because We Are" Programme dedicated to promoting peace, listening to victims of genocide and active commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day. Because of their excellent behaviour and inquisitive questions, we have received a letter of thanks from The Lord Mayor, Dr. Martin Stern and Smajo Beso from the Bosnian Genocide Educational Trust. Book Buffet opened its doors today as part of the Library's World Book Week celebrations. The library has been decorated out as a cafe, the library monitors are your servers and books are what you'll find on the menu! Every student who fills in a book buffet sheet not only gets the opportunity to vote for their ultimate faithful for our exciting Traitors finale but is put in a draw for a chance to win a book! Our Golden Book nominees met with Head of School today. Golden Book (of which it actually is), is part of our PRAISE structure. Students are nominated for great pieces of work and attitude. Art & Design RoundUp It's been a busy and brilliantly creative couple of weeks across our Art and Woodwork rooms - here's what our talented students have been up to: Year 7 Woodwork Our budding designers have been crafting multifunctional hooks, combining practical woodworking skills with imaginative problemsolving. The results are looking fantastic! Year 5 Art Inspired by the iconic style of Keith Haring, students have shaped their own clay sculptures filled with movement, energy and bold character. Such expressive work from our youngest artists! Year 8 Woodwork This group has taken on the challenge of creating multifunctional device stands. From concept sketches to construction, they're developing real-world design skills, and their creations are seriously impressive! Year 7 Art Students have been adding vibrant colour to their KAWSinspired clay sculptures, using their colour theory knowledge to bring each piece to life. So much creativity and confidence on display! Amazing work, everyone!
