Weekly Round-Up - 19th April 2024

During the Autumn term, the top 5 stamp collectors from each class in KS2 were rewarded with a trip and tour to St James Park. The top stamp collectors from Year 5 were excited to be pitch-side and to see the seats of their favourite players inside the dressing room. The Year 6 top stamp collectors also enjoyed a great view of St James Park. All the students received a souvenir tour pass to remember their reward. The visit was excellent and all the students had a wonderful time!

This week, Year 6 Celebration Breakfast was all about celebrating the recent resilience and successes of these amazing pupils.

This week, the PE warm-up for cricket focused on stretching and raising pulse rates, with 6C pupils leading the exercises.

Thank you to 5H for an extremely ‘successful’ assembly on our PRAISE value for this term: success. It was lovely to hear about their own individual successes and to remind ourselves that failure is just success in progress!

Students who received enough PRAISE awards were rewarded with a visit to St James's Park. This visit was not just a football-related trip, as the students had the opportunity to learn about pitch maintenance, media, and sports science within the changing rooms. Moreover, they enjoyed the breathtaking views from the very top level of the stands, and had the chance to experience the comfort of the warm home seats and media suite on match day.
